PRIVACY - POLICY

INFORMATION NOTICE ON DATA PROTECTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLES 12 AND 13 OF THE EU GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION 2016/679, ALSO WITH REGARD TO THE USE OF IMAGES: PHOTOS AND AUDIO-VIDEO RECORDINGS

Pursuant to Articles 12 and 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, with regard to the personal data that the Cultural Association liberaAmigdala will acquire, you are hereby informed as follows:

1. DATA CONTROLLER

The Data Controller of the personal data you provide at the time of registration for the competition or acquired during the event is the Cultural Association liberaAmigdala, with registered office in Viagrande (CT), via Sottotenente Scuderi no. 69, represented by the President, Professor Maria Grazia Palermo.

2. PURPOSES AND METHODS OF PROCESSING

Personal data (including images, photos, and audio-video recordings) will be processed and used directly by the Data Controller in full compliance with the principles of fairness and lawfulness and the provisions of the law, exclusively for purposes related to participation, selection, and performance of the competition, as well as the promotion of the Association's activities, as detailed in the competition regulations.

The use of images in contexts that may harm the personal dignity or decorum of the individuals concerned, or for purposes other than those indicated above, is not permitted.

The posing for and use of images shall be considered free of charge.

The Association undertakes not to use the images in any way that may damage the dignity, reputation, or decorum of the individual.

Processing may be carried out with or without the aid of electronic or automated tools.

3. PROVISION OF DATA

The provision of data by the data subject is optional but strictly necessary for the activities referred to in point 2.

4. REFUSAL TO PROVIDE DATA

Any refusal by the data subject to provide personal data will make it impossible to carry out the activities referred to in point 2.

5. DATA RECIPIENTS AND POSSIBLE DATA TRANSFER

Personal data provided at the time of registration will be processed exclusively by staff and collaborators of the Cultural Association and may be disclosed to external consultants, or to judicial or administrative authorities, for compliance with legal obligations. Outside of these cases, the data will not be disclosed to third parties.

Photos and audio-video recordings transmitted at the time of registration or acquired during the event will be processed for communication activities, institutional campaigns, editorial initiatives concerning the presentation of the Cultural Association, for publications in print and on the Association's official website, institutional social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and in all official communication channels of the Association.

6. PROFILING

Personal data are not subject to any fully automated decision-making processes, including profiling.

7. DATA RETENTION PERIOD

Data collected will be stored in the Association's archives to preserve a historical record of events and institutional activities and, if necessary, for periodic historical publications. Retention will be carried out for no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data are processed and/or for the time required to comply with legal obligations.

8. DATA RECIPIENTS AND POSSIBLE DATA TRANSFER

Personal data provided and images/photos/audio-video recordings acquired for the purposes referred to above may be used by the Data Controller and the Association's collaborators solely and exclusively for institutional purposes.

The management and storage of the personal data collected take place on servers located at the Association's headquarters.

9. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT (WITHDRAWAL, ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, ERASURE, RESTRICTION, OBJECTION, PORTABILITY, COMPLAINT)

As the data subject, you have the right to request from the Cultural Association, as Data Controller, pursuant to Articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 21 of the GDPR:

  • access to your personal data and to all the information referred to in Article 15 of the GDPR;

  • rectification of inaccurate personal data and the integration of incomplete data;

  • erasure of your data, except for those contained in records that must be mandatorily retained by the Association and unless a prevailing legitimate reason exists to continue processing;

  • restriction of processing in the cases provided for in Article 18 of the GDPR.

You also have the right:

  • to object to the processing of your personal data, subject to the necessity and mandatory nature of data processing in order to access the services provided;

  • to withdraw consent, where previously given, for non-mandatory data processing, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

As the data subject, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR.
